1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Azterion Technologies («Azterion,» «Clip Pilot,» «we,» «us,» or «our») collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit clipilot.azterion.com or use the Clip Pilot service.
Azterion Technologies is the controller of personal information processed for the operation of Clip Pilot. If an organization provides your access, that organization may also control the content and account information it submits to the service.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to the Clip Pilot website, dashboard, APIs, integrations, support interactions, and related services. It does not govern third-party services such as TikTok, cloud-storage providers, or other platforms that maintain their own privacy policies.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact information, such as name, email address, company, role, and support messages.
- Workspace information, editorial preferences, creator profiles, destination labels, and team configuration.
- Media, audio, transcripts, captions, titles, comments, event data, clip decisions, and other content submitted to or generated through the service.
- Payment and billing information when paid plans become available. Payment-card information may be handled directly by a payment processor rather than stored by Clip Pilot.
Information from connected services
When you connect a third-party account, we receive only the information and permissions you authorize. For TikTok integrations this may include a platform-specific user identifier, username, nickname, avatar, granted scopes, access and refresh tokens, publishing limits, post status, and information about content published through Clip Pilot.
Clip Pilot does not request or store your TikTok password. You can revoke access through TikTok’s account settings or by contacting us.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Service logs, API requests, error reports, processing times, storage usage, and security events.
- Product-interaction information such as candidates reviewed, edits, approvals, exports, and publishing status.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve Clip Pilot.
- Capture or ingest authorized sources, transcribe speech, detect candidate moments, generate clips and captions, and create export packages.
- Authenticate users and operate requested third-party integrations.
- Display the correct connected account and transfer content only after an authorized user action.
- Measure product performance, diagnose errors, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms.
- Respond to support requests and send operational notices.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect users, creators, Azterion, and third parties.
5. Artificial intelligence processing
Clip Pilot uses automated and artificial-intelligence systems to transcribe, classify, rank, summarize, caption, and transform media. Depending on workspace configuration, relevant media, audio, transcript excerpts, prompts, and metadata may be sent to vetted AI service providers acting on our instructions.
Scores and recommendations are assistive outputs. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by a person before publication or other consequential use.
6. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Infrastructure, hosting, storage, transcription, AI, analytics, security, communications, and payment providers that support the service under contractual restrictions.
- Third-party platforms you direct us to connect with or publish to.
- Your workspace owner, administrators, and authorized collaborators.
- Professional advisers, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.
- A successor in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Content and creator data
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions, and notices required to upload, monitor, record, analyze, edit, and distribute content. Clip Pilot processes submitted content to provide the service and does not claim ownership of it.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by data type, workspace settings, and subscription terms.
You may request account or personal-data deletion by emailing privacy@azterion.com. When a connected third-party account is disconnected, we stop using its token and delete or de-identify associated credentials unless retention is legally required. Backups may retain limited copies for a reasonable period before secure deletion.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, server-side credential handling, encryption where appropriate, logging, and least-privilege practices. No system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies and local storage
We may use essential cookies and local storage for sessions, security, preferences, and service operation. We may use limited analytics to understand aggregate product usage. You can control cookies through your browser, although blocking essential storage may prevent parts of the service from working.
11. International processing
Azterion is based in Mexico and works with providers that may process information in Mexico, the United States, and other countries. Where required, we use contractual and organizational safeguards for international transfers.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy. Mexican residents may exercise applicable ARCO rights. Submit requests to privacy@azterion.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
You may disconnect TikTok or another integration through the relevant platform’s permissions page. Revoking a connection does not automatically delete content already published to that platform.
13. Children
Clip Pilot is a professional service and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to the service.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the service evolves. We will update the date shown on this page and provide additional notice when legally required. Continued use after an update means the revised Policy applies from its effective date.
